Thailand tourist visa allows you to travel to Thailand for tourism, private stay, or to take a short-term medical treatment. This type of visa doesn’t permit you to be involved in paid or unpaid employment.

Difference Between Thailand Single Entry and Multiple Entry Visa

Single entry visa of Thailand lets you enter the country just once. On the other hand, a multiple entry visa is beneficial if you want to visit Thailand multiple times during the period of validity of the Thai visa.

Depending on the requirements, you can apply for a single-entry Thailand visa or multiple entry Thailand visa. Just keep in mind that both categories of Thai visa permit you to stay for a period not exceeding 60 days in each entry.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THAILAND VISA

Checklist of Documents Required for Thailand Tourist Visa Application

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS

  • A valid passport with at least 6 months validity at the time of Thailand visa application. It must have two opposite blank pages, one for a sticker visa and another for stamps.
  • Thailand visa application form duly completed and signed by you.
  • Two recent photographs (no older than 3 months) with 35x45mm dimension, white background, 80% closure and neutral face expressions. Avoid caps, spectacles or other ornaments that hide eyes or ears.
  • Visa checklist signed by you.
  • A covering letter for requesting tourist visa of Thailand.
  • If you are a non-Indian passport holder, you need to submit evidence of permanent residence in India.

Proof of Travel and Accommodation

  • Confirmation of return air ticket (India to Thailand and Thailand to India).
  • Confirmation of hotel or another accommodation reservation. If you are planning to stay with a friend or relative, you need to submit the sponsorship letter along with Thai ID proof of the sponsor person.

Proof of Funds (financial means)

  • Bank statement for the last 6 months with the stamp & sign from the bank official. It should have satisfactory average balance to ensure that you can meet the expenses of Thailand tourism.
  • If you are self-employed, you need to submit the bank statement of company’s account.
  • In case the trip is sponsored, there’s a need to submit invitation letter that contain your name, passport number, and travel details.

Additional Documents

All of the above-mentioned documents are compulsory to submit in Royal Thai Embassy while applying for Thai visa from India, while some of the documents given below are supplementary.

Proof of Employment

  • If employed: NOC from the company stating your leave, copy of employee ID, salary slips for the last 6 months, employment contract, and certificate of employment.
  • If self-employed: Company registration certificate and business license.

Proof of Taxation

  • Copy of PAN card.
  • ITRs or form 16 for the last 3 years along with supporting documents. In case, you started filling ITRs recently, submit the latest available ITR.
  • 3 GSTRs (if self-employed).

Minor Applicants

Copy of passports (first and last page) of parents or guardians. If the minor applicant is traveling with one parent, the written consent of another parent must be submitted. If the minor is traveling alone or with the third person (relative or friend), the written consent of both parents or guardians is mandatory.
